Morizono Ricca

She’s known as the idol of the school due to her outstanding looks and friendly personality. She’s also the president of the “Official” Newspaper Club Kiyotaka belongs to. She’s direct once she sets her mind to something, and after falling for Kiyotaka at first sight, she takes a slightly unusual approach, telling him, “You and I were lovers in our past lives. We’re destined to be together.” She and Suginami from the Unofficial Newspaper Club are like oil and water.

“Uh-huh, your mind, body, and compatibility are perfect! No wonder we were lovers in our past lives♪”

Katsuragi Himeno

She’s one of Kiyotaka’s childhood friends and grew up living in the apartment next door. Since he’s been under the care of the Katsuragi family since he was little, the two of them are practically siblings. After becoming aware of each other as members of the opposite sex, she couldn’t be honest with him and now she tends to say the opposite of what she’s thinking. She’s great at all domestic affairs and is particularly good at cooking.

“I just happened to make too many sides for dinner, that’s all. I only brought them over because it would be a waste to throw them out.”

Yoshino Charles

She’s one year older that Kiyotaka and currently lives with him in the same apartment. She dotes on Kiyotaka and is very touchy-feely, so sometimes Kiyotaka has difficulty responding. She really wants to care for Kiyotaka, but her cooking is… Her father was very particular about the name, “Charles,” and even though it is masculine she seems to be quite fond of it.

“Hey, hey, Taka-kun, did you know? Cousins can marry each other! Alright, I’m going to my best!”

Rukawa Sara

She’s a younger girl who skipped a few grades and advanced into Kiyotaka’s class. She has an earnest personality and is a bit stubborn, too. Unfortunately, people sometimes avoid her because her personality often makes her try too hard. She’s smart enough to skip grades, but she’s not very good at socializing. She’s also a bit childish and snaps when people tease her.

“It’s not like I hate you, Sempai. I just wish you would be a bit more serious, that’s all.”

Hinomoto Aoi

She’s a first year at the affiliated campus, and Kiyotaka’s underclassman. She’s a girl whose bright smile never falters, but due to her frail body she becomes sick if she overdoes it. She’s a dedicated worker with multiple part-time jobs, and refuses to give up despite her body’s limitations. She’s admired Kiyotaka like an older brother ever since he helped her when she was feeling dizzy. When others see her follow after him, they say it looks like a puppy wagging its tail as it follows its owner.

“I’m an only child, so I’ve always wanted an older brother. So please, could you be my older brother?!”

Suginami

He’s the leader of the Unofficial Newspaper Club, and the biggest problem child of the academy. He’s a well-known student with a reputation for causing a ruckus whenever an event is being planned. Due to the newspapers they publish, he gets along with Morizono Ricca like oil and water. However, he’s at ease since the unofficial newspaper is currently the most popular, and their number of copies printed is vast compared to the official newspaper club. This fact only serves to irritate Ricca even more. For some reason he calls Kiyotaka “comrade,” and persistently attempts to convince him to switch over to the unofficial newspaper club.

“Yoshino Kiyotaka. If it means drawing you into the unofficial newspaper club, I will resort to any dastardly plan.”

Ricca Greenwood

Ricca is a member of Weather Vane’s Regular Student Class 1-A as well as one of the five Category 5 mages in the entire world. She’s also the Master (Head) of Prep Student Class 1-A which Kiyotaka belongs to. Due to her talent, her good looks, and refined behavior she’s an idol of the academy as well as the mage society. She’s also friendly, forthcoming, and mischievous when you actually talk to her. Why is a girl like her still a student? Perhaps even she doesn’t know the reason.

Charles Maroth

Charles is Weather Vane’s knowledgeable student council president, and has a habit for getting outstanding grades. She’s a compassionate person, so she’s immensely popular among students. Her well-proportioned body is a plus, earning her the covetous gaze of the male students. She has a habit of giving presents to people she likes, and apparently Charles’ presents are an admired item among Weather Vane students.

Katsuragi Himeno

Himeno is the eldest daughter of the Katsuragi family, a well-known family in Japan. Since she was cherished and sheltered, she’s naïve and a bit shy, so she tends to feign friendliness around those who aren’t family. She’s domestic and capable of properly handling all chores such as cleaning, laundry, sewing, and cooking, not to mention that her cooking is on par with professionals. She seems to harbor a faint love toward her older brother, Kiyotaka, so her stubborn side causes her to say the opposite of what she’s thinking sometimes.

Sara Chrysalis

Sara is the heir to the renowned Chrysalis family, a noble aristocratic family of mages with a long history in England. However, their status is not what it used to be, and they seem to be struggling. Sara is earnest and hard-working, in other words, too honest and unrefined, so she’s often isolated from the rest of the class. She maintains a mature front, but occasionally she does show her honest, childish emotions like a girl her age.

Hinomoto Aoi

Aoi is a hardworking girl who works part-time at many places in the academy city including the café “Flowers,” the dorm cafeteria, and Weather Vane’s cafeteria. She’s always energetic and usually has a smile on her face. Her friendly attitude toward everyone makes her popular with all the island residents. According to her, “Despite what it seems, I do belong to a mysterious secret organization.” Maybe she’s actually hiding many secrets?!

Suginami

Suginami is a shady and elusive man shrouded in mysteries. He’s a natural enemy of Ricca, Charles, and Tomoe, who all belong to the student council, and apparently he belongs to an organization known as the Unofficial Newspaper Club.

Edogawa Kousuke

A foolish classmate, but a good friend. He’s the eldest son of the Edogawa family, a family famous for being private detectives in Japan. Their actual job is serving as a family of puppeteers who use magic to control their puppets. However, since Kousuke is still not adept at being a puppeteer, he spends every day getting verbally attacked by Shiki, the puppet in his service. He doesn’t seem to mind it that much, though.

Edogawa Shiki

Shiki has served generations of the Edogawa family, a family of puppeteers with a long history. Apparently her hobby is toying with her current Master, Kousuke, by verbally teasing him. It’s hard to tell from an observer’s perspective which of the two is actually the Master.

Mary Holmes

Mary is the class representative of Prep Student Class 1-B. She’s a short, confident girl of action, and she hates to lose. She’s part of a detective family that’s super-famous in London, and she sees Kousuke as a rival because of his affiliation with a famous detective family in Japan.

Edward Watson

A male student that’s part of Prep Student Class 1-B. He’s Mary’s childhood friend, and a patient man who always holds the reins on Mary’s reckless behavior. He’s one of the few people with common sense at Weather Vane where eccentric students are common. --Except for his dress?!

Ian Selway

Ian is heir to an up and coming aristocratic family. He’s rich, handsome, and his grades are good, too. He’s also extremely kind and gentlemanly with all the cute girls in the school, so he’s very popular among groups of students. In contrast to that, he typically tends to look down on everyone else, so there are lots of students who hate him as well. He has a tendency of butting heads with Kiyotaka and Mary whenever the opportunity presents itself. He’s an obnoxious fellow, but there’s also a side of him that’s appealing.

Rurika Ordet

Rurika is half-Japanese, half-British, and serves Ian as his maid. Her talents as a maid are exceptionally good, but she has a great problem with her personality. Nothing entertains her more than spurring Ian into causing turmoil. Of course, whenever things get out of control, she uses her own talents as a maid to resolve it. Due to her personality, she gets along extremely well with Kousuke’s servant, Shiki.

Gojouin Tomoe

Tomoe is a member of the student council and Master of Prep Student Class 1-C. She’s best friends with Ricca and Charles, but she’s forged a relationship where they’re always competing with each other. She’s in charge of the physical labor on the student council, so one could say she also shares a type of rivalry with Suginami, who always tries to cause trouble at every event. Her family is a distant relative of the Katsuragi family, so she’s childhood friends with Kiyotaka and Himeno. Since she often teased Kiyotaka when he was little, he’s not very comfortable around her.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is the Headmistress of Weather Vane. She’s an elegant, beautiful, mature woman who’s usually composed. Her refined manner and her outstanding proportions make her sexy, earning her the admiration of many students. However, she doesn’t show herself in front of students very often. Some students even look forward to school ceremonies just for a chance to see the Headmistress.
